The College of Arts and Sciences Faculty IT Advisory Council is charged with guiding the College’s IT strategy and service offerings by acting in an advisory capacity to the Executive Dean and the Chief Technical Officer of the College.
The Council reconciles the needs of faculty and IT staff with a special focus on matters related to IT security and infrastructure.
This includes:
- representing faculty interests and providing faculty input regarding College IT policies,
- reviewing all College IT guidelines, and
- advising the Dean on requests for exemptions to University-level policies in accordance with the exemption procedure for the College.
The Council has fourteen members appointed by the Executive Dean of the College to represent all sectors and major constituencies of the College.
This website aims to serve as a resource for faculty in the college for the dissemination of information about IT guidelines and policies and a platform for providing feedback to the Faculty IT Advisory Council.
